Terms of Use

1. About These Terms

These Terms of Use apply to:

• debtriot.co.uk (the marketing site and demo calculation engine)

• coaches.debtriot.co.uk (the professional coaches platform)

• app.debtriot.co.uk (the organisations tool)

By using any of these, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the organisations tool on behalf of your organisation, you also agree to the separate Operator Agreement provided at the point of subscription.

2. Not Financial Advice

DebtRiot is for information and education only.

We provide calculators that show "if X, then Y" based on numbers you enter. We do not provide financial, legal, or tax advice and we are not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

You are responsible for your own decisions. If you or your clients are struggling to cover essentials or minimum payments, free and confidential help is available from StepChange, National Debtline, Citizens Advice or Money Helper.

3. How You May Use DebtRiot

You may use the Service for lawful purposes, including professional use by debt coaches and deployment by subscribing organisations.

 Please do not:

• use it unlawfully or to harm others

• attempt to access parts of the Service you are not authorised to use

• use automated tools to scrape, copy, or interfere with the Service

• resell or redistribute our tools without written permission

 We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.

4. Coaches Platform - Subscriptions

 Access to the coaches platform (coaches.debtriot.co.uk) requires a paid subscription. Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We never see your card details.

 Subscription tiers, pricing, and trial terms are displayed at coaches.debtriot.co.uk. We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice to active subscribers.

 You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.

 5. Organisations Tool - Billing

Access to the organisations tool (app.debtriot.co.uk) is provided under a separate Operator Agreement. Billing is annual and by invoice. There is no automated Stripe checkout for organisations.

 Pilot access (free 3-month period) is provided as described in the Pilot Agreement. Pilot access does not auto-renew. Conversion to a paid subscription requires a separate agreement.

 6. Refunds

Coaches subscriptions: if you experience a technical fault that prevents access, contact hello@debtriot.co.uk and we will resolve the issue or provide a refund at our discretion.

Organisations: billing terms are governed by the Operator Agreement.

 7. Intellectual Property

All content on DebtRiot - including text, design, branding, and code - is owned by DebtRiot.

You may view the site in your browser and print or save your own plan for personal or professional use.

You may not copy, republish, or redistribute our content, create derivative works, or use our branding without permission.

8. Availability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

We may update or change features at any time. For significant changes affecting paid subscribers, we will provide reasonable notice where practicable. We are not responsible for loss caused by unavailability or changes, except where law does not permit such exclusions.

9. Limitation of Liability

Our calculators provide estimates based on what you enter. We do not promise that results are complete or perfectly suited to your situation.

 To the extent permitted by law:

•  we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss

• we are not liable for decisions made based on the results

• we are not liable for loss of profits or savings

 Nothing limits liability for fraud or anything that cannot legally be excluded.

10. Third-Party Links

Links to other sites (such as debt charities or Stripe) are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for their content or practices.

11. Privacy

How we handle information is explained in our Privacy Policy at debtriot.co.uk/privacy-policy.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be subject to the courts of England and Wales, except where consumers may bring claims in their local courts as required by law.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms. Changes are effective when posted. Continued use of the Service means you accept the updated Terms.
